This asset provides a geospatial visualisation of residential and business gas uptake and use by LGA from 2009 to 2016 based on public data hosted by Jemena (see https://bit.ly/2tpHS7H). Statistics on growth across the period are provided in the visualisation, as is information on regional heating degree days (likely a strong driver of annual gas use).

Note that the business class includes both industrial and commercial customers. Customers who consume more than 10TJ of gas per annum have been excluded.

Note that LGA data provided by Jemena has been translated by CSIRO into standard ABS forms, enabling linkage to other LGA-based ABS statistics.
