Full description

Drawing on data from federal, state and local governments, utilities, energy efficiency programs, building owners and private companies, the Building Performance Database (BPD) provides a summary of the commercial and residential building sector in the United States of America. The database contains information for more than 700,000 residential and mixed-use buidings and more than 225,000 commercial buildings. For each building category, distributions of energy star ratings, LEED scores, energy use intensity estimates, and a variety of building and appliance characteristics (such as heating and cooling systems, window and wall types, and insulation) are available. Data can be filtered to focus on years, cities, climate zones and states of interest.

Note that the BPD is not intended to be a statistically representative sample of US building stock. Also note that the Disclaimer linked from the hosting page provides copyright and disclaimer information.
