Descriptive statistics from EUDM's pilot household energy use survey, conducted across Victoria and Western Australia in 2017.
The report provides descriptive results from the first phase of EUDM's pilot survey of household energy use, conducted in early to mid-2017. Detailed information about the survey's design, sampling approach, methodology, measures, and key findings is included.
Phase 1 of the study involved posting surveys to a large sample of randomly-selected households across two distinct regions of Australia: the areas serviced by CitiPower and Powercor in Victoria, and the areas serviced by Horizon Power in Western Australia. Results are presented for the final sample of survey respondents (n=2,532), which included 1,881 Victorian households and 651 Western Australian households. Note that results and statistics are unweighted and refer only to respondents of the survey. Demographic skew should be noted.
