Full description

The report encompasses a review of over 80 publicly available cost estimates to illustrate the manufacturing price trends of Li-ion applications within the battery electric vehicle (BEV) industry. Quantitative comparisons of battery pack prices between 2007 - 2014 are conducted using multiple international sources, and findings are categorised as a function of time, manufacturer market capitalisation and electric car type. Learning rates within the industry are also included.

Interpretations of observable trends are made, as well as predictions for future Li-ion battery pack prices and the consequent implications for energy and transport applications.

Information relating to the report methodology and reliability of findings can be found on Page 331 of the publication.
