Full description

The report summarises key findings from a collaborative work program between Energy Networks Australia (ENA) and CSIRO that explores the future state of Australia's electricity system. The report includes projections of large-scale generation, emissions, system expenditure and emerging technologies (including electric vehicles, storage and solar) over time out to 2050 under an agreed roadmap scenario. The results, together with sector analyses, are drawn upon to provide a set of sectoral recommendations and target milestones for, particularly, the decade 2017-2027. Considerations in the analyses include power system security, carbon abatement, intelligent networks and markets, network regulation, and customer benefit and impact.
