Full description

The interactive Industry Map for Australia coincides with the 2016 Australian Industry Report produced by the Office of the Chief Economist. The geography standard that is used for the map is the 2011 Australian Statistical Geography Standard. The visualisations include geographic aggregations at the ABS SA3 level. Indicators in the map include: gross regional product (GRP) estimates, business counts, population estimates, labour force and industry employment.

The Industry Map is segregated into three sections on the website. The Region profile highlights key statistics for regions which can be compared with state and national benchmarks. The Industry profile provides key labour force indicators. Finally, there is an option for users to create customised regions to generate profile data tailored to their needs.
