Full description

The report outlines a preliminary study into the automated estimation of zone substation annual energy consumption based on supply area information (including heating and cooling degree day information based on Bureau of Meteorology data, building type information from Geoscience Australia's NEXIS dataset and population demographic information from the Australian Bureau of Statistics). The approach uses a back propagation neural network and is trained on electrical load data from zone substations from across Australia (see related assets for examples of such data).
