The data reflects summary outputs from a subset of survey respondents participating in the pilot EUDM survey program. The pilot program focussed on the collection of household characteristics, building data, appliance uptake and use information, and longitudinal smart meter data for residential consumers in the Horizon Power and CitiPower and Powercor supply regions.

The results represent the first data release from the pilot program, showing basic summary electricity consumption statistics for more than 800 participating households. The households represent a subset of the full participant pool. Note also that the set explicitly excludes households with solar systems.

Note that:

• Survey outputs are unweighted and reflect responses from participants only. As such potential demographic skew should be noted.
• Surveying was conducted in early-to-mid 2017, while energy consumption data is retrospective, for the year 2016.
• Metering data has not been validated nor cleaned.
• Only electricity consumption is reflected in this output.
