Aggregated survey data about energy use and behaviour for Australian households.
From January 2012 to December 2012 the ABS collected information about household energy use, income, wealth and household characteristics from 11,978 households across Australia. This data presents a summary of these findings. The data was collected from people aged 15 years and older and from residents in private dwellings.
Results for household and vehicle energy expenditure and energy consumption behaviours are presented for different household demographics, building characteristics, locations and for those with different appliance types (including heating, cooling and lighting systems). The data also provides insight into self-reported financial stress and its impact on reported energy use behaviours.
