Full description

This report summarises findings from a preliminary investigation into gross solar PV output estimation using low frequency residential (net) smart metering data. The goal of the approach is to produce reliable gross PV output estimates for a subset of days only. This subset may then be used as an input for training alternative models that produce reliable estimates across all days.

The research leverages Ausgrid's publicly accessible Solar Homes dataset and Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) weather station data.

This asset includes a summary report, outlining methodological approach and key findings. This is complemented by individual plots and visualisations of model performance for each home in the complete data set.
